What we are about
Smaller Footprint is all
about spreading the word of sustainability and conservation and trying to make
this little planet we call home a better place for us all to live now and a
better place for our future generations to call home. Let's all pitch in, spread
the word and try a little harder. Even if you do not believe our little planet
is in trouble, steps can be taken to improve our quality of life and the quality
of life for our children, our grandchildren and the generations that we hope
will follow ours.
Smaller Footprint is a creation of Wayne and Brittany Newberry. To learn a
little about us click

Our purpose for being here is to effect a change in environmental and ecological
awareness by informing and educating. By compiling useful web sites and
information into one accessible location, we hope to make your quest for more
resources easier. Our goal is to work with and through local environmental
organizations to bring attention to local and global environmental issues. We
strive to draw people together for a common purpose through raised awareness. If
you would like to be a part of this endeavor or think you know someone who would
want to be a part of this PLEASE contact us! We know we cannot accomplish these
goals alone. This is a team effort...a group effort...a global effort. We need
and want your efforts.
Do you know of a great web site or other source of information that would be
useful to others? Let us know what it is and we will add it to the Smaller
Footprint Network!
We CAN make an ecologically smaller footprint ! We CAN affect a
change in global awareness!

Definition of
Ecological Footprint:
A measure of how much productive land and water an
individual, a city, a country, or humanity needs to produce all the resources it
consumes and to absorb all the waste it generates, using prevailing technology.
This land could be anywhere in the world. The ecological footprint is measured
in
global hectares. For a
